Born in a small seaside town called Rapallo, on the Liguiran coast near the city of Genova, Italy, Paolo Uccelli exhibited a passion for music at a young age, influenced by his father Gianni and his brother Fabrizio. He began his studies with his father at age 13 and at age 16 he founded his first rock band.

At 18, he began studying classical guitar with Maestro Paolo Fantinni from Zoagli. Within the year he uncovered his passion for flamenco guitar, and later he and his brother founded the group FANDANGO, accompanied by flutist Mauro Perego.

From this point Paolo began to seek out and experiment with ethnic sounds, leading him as far as India to study the sitar and bansuri flute.

While in India, he started exploring the world of Jazz, and in London began a path towards modern harmony while discovering Bossa Nova music. He continued on to Granada, Spain, to be closer to the flamenco atmosphere.

Once back in Italy, he began the project Novo Horizonte, with whom he later toured Mexico, accompanying the singer Rudy Biancardi.

Two years later he enrolled in guitar lessons with teacher Josué Tacoronte Otero at the PROART Center, Academy of Classical and Spanish Dance, located in Santiago de Querétaro A few months later he was invited to join the Proart’s Spanish Ballet Company, making several presentations in theaters across the republic.
He took part in the first international meeting of the "Ibérica Contemporánea", through which he was able to take classes with renowned guitarists in the flamenco world, such as Jose Antonio Rodriguez, Chico Garcia and Antonio Rey. He also had the pleasure of sharing the stage with “Ibérica de Danza” by Manuel Zegovia, Cristóbal Reyes, María Juncal, Belén Maya, María Pagés, Joaquín Grilo and the Spanish Ballet of Cuba.

In January 2008 he and Silvia Basurto embarked on the project “la boquita world music”, mixing jazz standards, bossa nova, and Mexican, Italian and Flamenco sounds.

In June 2009 he participated in various events at the Second Festival "Ibérica Contemporánea,” and again had the opportunity to take classes with renowned guitarists such as José Luis Rodríguez, Pedro Sierra Antonio Rey and Jesus Torres.

In February 2011 Paolo was invited by dancer and choreographer Maestra Adriana Quinto to perform as a guitarist in a three-month production at Teatro Vallarta. The show was poetry and painting turned into dance, inspired by Mexican cultural icon, Frida Kahlo, who in her paintings reflected a life full of pain, love, passion and loss.

In October 2012 Maestro Josué Tacoronte invited Paolo to be the bassist in his backing band in the IV Leo Brouwer Festival of Chamber Music. At the National Theater of Havana, Cuba, he presented the project “Brouwer Flamenco,” and went on to win the "Cuba Disco 2013".

In July 2013 he began collaboration with internationally famed accordionist and composer, Maestro Marco Lo Russo, with whom he performed a series of concerts, and will soon release a new album.

In August 2013, Paolo, along with Josué Tacoronte and Silvia Basurto, again presented a "Brouwer Flamenco" concert, (directed and arranged by Tacoronte) at the XXXVIII Guitar Festival in Paracho, Michoacán.

"For me, music, besides being a means to convey emotions, is a interminable journey where you can meet different people with whom you share unique moments. I want to thank all those people who gave me the opportunity to live these moments and emotions together”
